Mr. Osman Kassim is the Founder Chairman of the Amana Group of Companies. Amana Group is the only dedicated Islamic Finance Services provider in Sri Lanka. It consists of, amongst others, Amana Investments Limited-an Islamic Merchant Bank, Amana Takaful Limited and Amana Capital Limited.

The Amana Group has joint ventures with Bank Islam Malaysia and Syarikat Takaful Malaysia. The Amana Group is considered a market leader in its field. The Amana Group holds a strategic interest in the shareholding of the Pakistan based pioneer takaful company, Al-Mizan Takaful.

Mr. Osman Kassim is also the Founder Chairman of the well established Expolanka Group of Companies with diverse business activities ranging from manufacturing, trading, aviation, logistics, waste management, power generation and so on spanning across the India sub-continent, Middle Eastern areas and the African continent.

Mr. Osman Kassim also heads the Board of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (APIIT Lanka), which offers post graduate training in multiple disciplines. Mr. Osman Kassim’s core interest revolves around developing Shariah compliant Islamic Financial Services.
